Tex backs A.J. in his first win since July
Wednesday night's win over the A's isn't enough to declare A.J. Burnett fixed and ready for October, but it was a nice first step back for the enigmatic righthander. Burnett pitched six effective innings against Oakland, leading the Yankees to a 4-3 win at the Stadium, their fifth straight victory.

Vazquez rejoins Yankees rotation
Javier Vazquez is returning to the Yankees' starting rotation, reclaiming the spot that was taken away from him a little more than a week ago. Vazquez will start Saturday against Toronto and replaces Dustin Moseley, who returns to long relief.
